Glamour and Good Times Shine at the 14th Annual NewRoads Girls Night Out

The NewRoads Performing Arts Centre was nearly unrecognizable on March 6, 2025, as it transformed into a glittering New York City scene for the 14th Annual NewRoads Girls Night Out. Inspired by the theme A Night at the Plaza Hotel, this year’s event blended big-city sophistication with hometown warmth, creating an unforgettable celebration of International Women’s Day. Guests entered through the doors to find doormen dressed in white gloves and top hats, setting a chic tone for the evening ahead. Inside, the lobby shimmered like an upscale hotel bar, where guests enjoyed wine, elegant appetizers from A Million Mouthfuls Catering, and a variety of themed photo opportunities.

The room buzzed with conversation, laughter and style - a perfect mix of community and glamour. More than 20 local, women-owned businesses lined the space with pop-up boutiques, offering guests the chance to shop, connect, and support female entrepreneurs. Between raffle draws and photo ops, the atmosphere was lively and full of energy. Jennifer Ritter, President and CEO of the Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation, served as the evening’s emcee, keeping guests entertained and engaged. The night’s lineup featured a high-energy performance by Artistica Dance Studio, followed by keynote speaker Jenn Walker, whose heartfelt and humorous reflections on womanhood drew both laughter and inspiration.

Proceeds from the evening supported Girls Inc., an organization committed to empowering girls across North America through mentorship, education, and advocacy. With over 350 locations, Girls Inc. helps young women build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills that last a lifetime.

The evening was such a success that organizers had to restock the bar mid-event - a sure sign that fun was had by all. Even the few men in attendance joined in the spirit of the night, surrounded by hundreds of inspiring women. With the continued support of community partners and sponsors, Girls Night Out remains a highlight of the year - where fashion, friendship, and purpose come beautifully together.
